Brett Miller is a furniture designer and the founder of Jackrabbit Studio in Hudson, New York. His work is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from surfing, nature and childhood memories. Brett approaches furniture as a way to translate feeling into form, creating pieces that carry the experiences that have shaped him.

When I arrived in Hudson, my goal was to peel back as many layers as possible. I wasn't interested in documenting furniture. I wanted to uncover the person behind the work and understand what drives him to keep making. Through our conversations, I found a craftsman who sees design as a lifelong pursuit and believes success isn't found in arriving somewhere, but in continuing to try.
